Grass-To-Grace: What Tiwa Savage Said About herself Will Shock You

Without keeping her fans and followers wondering what is and what is not about her, Tiwa Savage has revealed her grass-to-grace story.

According to the music empress, as against what people think, she has had her share of hardships and poverty.

Unmasking all, she noted that there was a time she didn’t have a roof over her head or even anything to eat.

This which she revealed during a surprise party just for 20 guests organised by her friends to celebrate her latest album Celia, came off with bunch of appreciation to one of her friend named, Elizabeth Elohor.

Speaking on how harder life would have been if not for Elizabeth Elohor, Tiwa Savage asserted emotionally:

“I think I was 22 and we were in New York. I was living in Bed-Stuy, kind of like a shelter. A lot of people didn’t know this. I was in a shelter for women that had drug abuse problems. I just graduated from school. You know as an international student you can’t work. So, I couldn’t work. I was doing the side thing in Bed-Stuy which is like the hood in Brooklyn.”

“I remember she was looking at me and asked, ‘what are you ordering?.’ And I was just lying that I was not hungry. And then she just started asking me, ‘are you sure?.’ And then I just started crying. And then she’s just like, ‘what is the matter?.’ I said, ‘Elohor, I don’t have money.”

Going forward, she said Elohor got food for her to eat and also take home. So, being an appreciative person, Tiwa said the first time her photo appeared in Times Square, her friend in her time of need was the first person she called to share in her moment of joy.

Reacting, her Elizabeth Elohor got up to hug the female singer during the narration as she could not hold her tears back.

Hmmmmmm
